The meeting was called to order at 4:04 PM at the Cemetery.
Present were Trustees Lani Farr, Lisa Hammond, Lynda Edmonds, Bill Morris and Greg Taylor. Also present were Manager, Doug Basolo, Assistant Manager Logan Marlow, Jamie Alamillo from Alamillo Landscape and community member Marjie Bartels.
PUBLIC COMMENT – None
MANAGER’S REPORT – Doug reported all was going good, equipment working well and the new fence has been installed.
LANDSCAPE REPORT – Jamie reported the pine trees are tentatively set to be trimmed on November 15th and the large trees in February. The Cypress trees will be trimmed in the Spring. Sod is being placed on new graves and he will be doing some seeding at the upper end. Bill asked how many people he has on headstones and Jamie replied one on headstones and one on mower but as winter comes the grass will not be growing so fast.
MINUTES – Bill moved the minutes of the previous meeting on August 16, 2021 be approved as presented, Lisa made the 2nd and the motion passed.
FINANCIAL REPORT – No print out was available but Doug brought it up on his phone and reported for the period of July-September we were in the black where this time last year we were in the red.
OLD BUSINESS
- Audit – Lynda reported the Audit was completed and Steve had mailed the Auditors a check. A new contract has been received for signature with an increase from $7500 to $8000.
- Office – Lani & Lynda reported on the progress for renovating the office. Two bids have been received and waiting on a 3rd which should be in by the end of the day. As soon as all 3 bids are received a Special Meeting will be called to discuss and make a decision.
- Fence – The fence has been completed other than the security screen which is to be installed in the next few weeks.
NEW BUSINESS
- Memorial Bricks – Lani has had a couple of families reach out to her about an area for a Memorial Brick to honor a loved one who is not buried in Bardsdale such as local residents who are not buried here or family of local residents. There was much discussion. The planters at the Columbarium were suggested with brick onto or something in that area. Since the Veterans pathway at the flagpole was an Eagle Scout project it was suggested this might be an Eagle Scout project.
OTHER – Lynda asked about the old white pickup in the dirt lot and if it could be hauled off. It was discovered there was another pickup also. They both need to be removed, Greg asked what else might be in that lot and asked about the gopher company.
There being no further regular business the meeting was adjourned at 5PM to go into Executive Session.
EXECUTIVE – Personnel and office were discussed along with the possibility of applying for a grant.
There being no further business the Executive Session was adjourned at 5:30 until the next regular meeting onNovember 15, 2021.
