The meeting was called to order by President Greg Taylor at 4:09PM at the Cemetery office. Also present were Trustees Aileen Wokal and Lynda Edmonds.
Also in attendance were Office Manager Rosa Stehly, Grounds Manager James Brink and Michael Durazo from Supervisor Long’s office.
PUBLIC COMMENT – None
MANAGER’S REPORT – attached and a part of these minutes. Hames has ben working on landscaping the back corner by Section J and once the container is moved feels planted boxes and benches would add to the front office. The board members present were in agreement with this.
FINANCIAL REPORT – The Financial Report had been emailed to members. Lynda moved it be accepted for filing, Aileen made the second and motion passed.
MINUTES – The minutes of the July 21st meeting which reconvened on July 28th had been emailed and copies present at the meeting. Aileen moved to accept the Minutes as written, Greg made the second and motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
- Outbuilding update – still working on the outbuildings, main project now is the bathroom.
- Information Case – it was decided to go with a white box 48″x36″. Aileen will check with Mike about installing.
- Headstone – sill ongoing, waiting for 2 families to proceed and then present billing.
- Signage – Greg will get sandwich board send ordered with the rules in English & Spanish.
- Possible expansion – The area for next expansion is being cleared of debris and rock. Doug Moore is donating time & equipment but we are responsible for the hauling fees which is resulting in a large savings.
- Adding employee – It was decided to hold off with winter coming on but if anyone comes in Rosa will take their information.
- Health Plan – Lynda reported that James and Everardo, the two full time employees, are covered by an Anthem Blue Cross PPO plan effective September 1st.
NEW BUSINESS
- Vaults – we are researching vinyl vs cement and which would be best.
OTHER – Flower containers – James had a sample of he flower containers Carpinteris uses. We are looking at starting to use these with new graves.
EXECUTIVE SESSION – None
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 5:40 until the next regular meeting on November 17, 2025.
