PUBLIC COMMENT – None
MANAGER’S REPORT – James reported we now have 4 weedeaters, the backhoe has been picked up for repair and the gopher control is much better. He has started using the new lowering device and people have been happy with it. The tractor donated by Bill Morris is almost in working order. Greg suggested we look into a second lawnmower and a utility trailer and has prices for them. James said we need to thatch the lawn after Memorial Day, weed & feed and fertilize. James also said a new fence is needed around the reservoir.
FINANCIAL REPORT – The Financial Report from July through April was received from our accountant. Lynda moved to accept for filing, Bill made the second and motion passed.
MINUTES – The minutes of the previous regular meeting of March 17, 2025 had been emailed and a copy present for the meeting. Bill moved they be approved and accepted. Lisa made the second and motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
- Outbuildings – work in progress
- Utility tractor – as discussed in Manager’s Report, almost ready for use. Steve Brockus has been coming out and been a source of information and help for James.
- Memorial Day – Lynda said everything is in place for Memorial Day. We now have our own bell, the programs are done and asked the Board to be at the Cemetery on the 26th.
NEW BUSINESS
- Directory – Greg, Rosa and Lynda have had 2 video presentations from a company that will set up a website that will show graves with pictures and a GPS location. They will come n and scan our records, take pictures of headstones, drone pictures of areas. The information will be accessible to the public which would enable them to find where a loved one is buried. It would also have additional information for office use. The cost of this is $875 a month with would start at signing of contract which would be for 5 years. After contract is signed the process would start in about 2 weeks and be available on line in a little over 6 months. There was discussion but no decision made.
- Second mower – discussed under Manager’s Report and a motion made by Bill to possibly go ahead with this. Aileen made the second. Greg will get final figures and contact board for final vote.
- House roof – The house is in need of a roof and we have a bid for removal of existing, new sheeting and fiberglass shingles with a 10 year warranty at $13,500 from Sespe Roofing. Aileen moved we proceed with this project, Bill made the second and motion passed.
- Fencing & gate – the foundation on the Main Gate is bad and needs to be reinforced as well as some of the fencing. Greg has a gate to donate for front of house but needs a fencing company to install.
- There is a headstone that was damaged by cemetery equipment. The headstone was purchased in Mexico and thinner than those made by our regular companies. The family wants the same design and picture as original and will make the arrangements to get a new one made. Bill moved it be replaced at Cemetery expense, Lisa made the second and motion passed. James will put extra cement under it to make it stronger.
- Water leaks – need to be repaired. Per Steve Brockus it is an old concrete line.
- Signage – We need new signage with the rules and Greg will get in touch with the sign company. The Cemetery has been lax about making people follow the rules and they need to be reinforced as it has been hard to get mowing and trimming done.
OTHER – Greg brought up the County road in front of the Cemetery that needs repairs. Michael from Supervisor LOng’s office said he could possibly help with this and he & Greg will look at it after the meeting.
EXECUTIVE SESSION – None
