The meeting was called to order by President Lani Farr at 4:10PM at the cemetery office.

Present were Trustees Bill Morris, Lynda Edmonds and Greg Taylor, Manager Logan Marlow, new Office Manager, Rosa Stehly and Jamie Alamillo from Alamillo Landscape.  Also present were Manuel Minjares from Supervisor Long’s office and community member Melanie Carrillo.

PUBLIC COMMENT – Melanie Carrillo questioned the upkeep of the grounds, headstones and gophers.  The landscape procedure along with gopher control procedures were explained by Lani and Jamie and are done to the best of our ability with the finances we have.  Lani explained that the care of the actual headstone is the responsibility of the families.

MANAGER’S REPORT – Logan reported the lack of water on Memorial Day was due to a water leak which is presently being repaired.

LANDSCAPE REPORT – Jamie reported he has started with extra labor and gave an update on the weedeating and headstone trimming.

MINUTES – The minutes of the previous regular meeting of March 20, 2023 and Emergency meetings on March 31, April 5 and April 10 had been emailed to board members and posted on the website.  Bill made the motion to approve all minutes, Greg made the second and the motion passed.

FINANCIAL REPORT – was received and reviewed.  Bill made the motion to accept for filing, seconded by Greg and passed.

OLD BUSINESS

1.  Memorial Day – Lynda reported the program was set and asked board members to be at the cemetery at 10 that morning.
2.  Signage – Greg reported the new signs were done and should be installed this week.
3.  Gophers – Due to Memorial Day the company will be asked to not put up their blue marker flags this week and then start with them again after Memorial day.

NEW BUSINESS

1.  Wall repair – the idea of filling the hole in the wall where part of the damage from our flooding occurred was discussed.  Per Manuel Minjares this can not be filled without consent from the adjoining neighbor. There was a discussion how to handle this as Doug had talked to him and nothing has been done.  A letter will be sent to start some dialogue.

EXECUTIVE SESSION – The board and staff had a discussion on procedures.
